Treat people with care, share honestly and respect their rights. These expectations apply to the website and messages you send us.
Respect and accuracy
- Do not threaten, harass, discriminate against or impersonate other people.
- Do not disclose private contact details, security codes or another person's sensitive information.
- Respect copyright and other rights. Share only material you have a right to provide.
- Describe concerns accurately. Do not send spam, deceptive requests or malicious files.
- Do not interfere with the website, bypass security controls or attempt unauthorised access.
Verified contributions
Reviews must describe your own verified experience. A normal staff-closed visit lasting at least fifteen minutes enables one living review for that venue. A later eligible visit permits a replacement; previous versions remain private. Do not sell, fabricate or coordinate deceptive reviews, copy another person's experience or pressure a visitor to leave a particular rating. Administrators may respond on behalf of their venue and must follow the same standards.
Focus on the working experience. Do not publish private contacts, security codes, identifying documents or another person's sensitive information. Upload only photos you have the right to share. Avoid identifiable people without an appropriate basis and material that threatens, exploits or sexually depicts children, promotes violence, harasses people or infringes their rights. Criticism is allowed when it is relevant, honest and respects those limits.
Photo checks and decisions
Selected photos appear publicly after sanitization and successful storage, before safety review. Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch then checks them using its EU service. Rejected photos stop being served and enter cleanup. Ambiguous photos remain visible while awaiting an authorized owner decision; provider outages delay review rather than publication. Checks do not certify legality or ownership. Others may copy a public image before it is removed.
A moderation decision records its reason. Contact [email protected] to explain an error and request review. Include the content reference or page address and the facts needed to assess the decision. These photo checks do not themselves impose an account sanction. Applicable legal remedies remain available; DeskCafés does not decide commercial payment disputes between visitors and venues.
Reports and human decisions
When reporting is available, a linked staff member may report a participant after their closed visit, and a visitor may report a venue after a verified, closed visit. A registered account may report a currently public review or photo for spam, privacy or illegal content; an experience report also requires a verified visit to that venue. Give specific, honest facts. Reports and reporter identities are kept private from the reported party, except where disclosure is legally required.
When reporting is available, three qualifying reports from three different venues within twelve months prepare review of an account sanction. At least five distinct verified visitors reporting the same venue category within ninety days prepare a delisting review only when those visitors also represent at least twenty percent of its distinct verified visitors in that period. Five distinct eligible accounts reporting the same public review or photo version prepare a content review. These thresholds automatically queue evidence. An authorised human reviewer can approve or decline the action even if the count is correct. A reasoned approval is required before the account is blocked, the venue is delisted or content is removed. Changed evidence must be reviewed again. DeskCafés does not decide commercial or interpersonal disputes. A report alone does not prove wrongdoing or illegality.
After an approved human decision, we attempt to send the affected person the human explanation, applicable rule, category, count and relevant dates without reporter identities or raw allegations. One technical reconsideration may be requested for each decision within six months. The owner reviews identity, counting, report fraud and other objective evidence errors; this process does not arbitrate payment or interpersonal disputes. A correction may restore a review, relist a venue or let an account restart onboarding. A withdrawn photo may need a fresh upload because its files may already have been removed. This product-specific reconsideration does not replace any mandatory complaint or privacy right, which may have different conditions and time limits. Use the reconsideration form with your decision reference and verified account email.
Raise a concern
For allegedly illegal content, give the exact page address and content reference, why you consider it unlawful, relevant supporting facts, and your name and contact email unless the notice concerns the specified child-safety offences. Confirm in good faith that the information is accurate and complete. We acknowledge receipt and send a reasoned decision and available redress information. Our internal targets are twenty-four hours for plausible urgent harm and seven days for other notices; they are service targets, not promised legal deadlines. Use the illegal-content form. For a privacy request, see the Privacy Policy. Include only relevant personal information. We use the details to assess and respond to your message. We do not disclose notifier identity to the reported person unless legally required.
DeskCafés does not arbitrate a commercial dispute between a user and a venue. For an immediate threat to someone's safety, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
